My bags are packed...

Yes, amazingly organised I am...  My bags are packed- though paperwork for work still oozes all over my desk...

Yesterday afternoon I had my last walk before I leave- a wander in the Esplanade. Here are some beautiful 'ballerinas' caught in the sunlight.

Soon it will be 'au revoir'... and it is obvious I am not carrying my bag this time...

St Francis Prayer

"Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;

to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
it is in dying that we are born again to eternal life."

Peace

As time draws near for my walk near Assisi, in the footsteps of St Francis, this quote about Peace seems appropriate.

It's by Etty Hillesum, and comes via Cardinal John Dew.

“Ultimately we have just one moral duty: to reclaim large areas of peace in ourselves, more and more peace, and to reflect it towards others, and, the more peace there is in us, the more peace there will also be in our troubled world.”
Peace be with you, and me, and in us, and through us, and in our world. +John
